4680-3P4 IBM FlashSystem 5045 SFF Dual Control Enclosure

The 4680-3P4 is an IBM FlashSystem 5045 SFF Dual Control Enclosure featuring dual node canisters with a six-core processor and up to 64 GB cache in a compact 2U, 19-inch rack mount enclosure. 10 Gb iSCSI connectivity is standard, with optional 16 Gb FC, 12 Gb SAS, 10 Gb iSCSI, and 25 Gb iSCSI connectivity. It has twenty-four 2.5-inch SAS drive slots and supports the attachment of up to twelve 2U expansion enclosures or up to four 5U expansion enclosures or a combination of 5U and 2U not exceeding 24U in total. This delivers support for up to 440 drives.

The 4680-3P4 IBM FlashSystem 5045 can be custom configured to meet your requirements, or you may purchase individual features and parts for a FlashSystem upgrade. All IBM FlashSystem orders include warranty and support, and all IBM FlashSystems are eligible for IBM Maintenance and Support.

FlashSystem 5045 support the attachment of FlashSystem 5000 expansion enclosure models 4680-12H, 4680-24H, and 4680-92H. Model 4680-12H (LFF) supports up to twelve 3.5-inch drives, while Model 4680-24H (SFF) supports up to twenty-four 2.5-inch drives. Model 4680-92H holds ninety-two 3.5-inch SAS drives. High-performance disk drives, high-capacity nearline disk drives, and flash (solid state) drives are supported. Drives of the same form factor can be intermixed within an enclosure, and LFF and SFF expansion enclosures can be intermixed within a FlashSystem 5000 system.

All FlashSystem 5045 functional capabilities are provided through IBM Storage Virtualize licensed machine code.
