The IBM FlashSystem 9500 4666-AH8 is a 4U enterprise NVMe storage system for demanding databases, virtualization and business-critical applications. The IBM FlashSystem 9500 4666-AH8 control enclosure combines 48 NVMe drive slots, two node canisters and IBM Storage Virtualize data services. The IBM FS9500 family includes the 4666-AH8 and 4983-AH8 IBM FlashSystem 9500 models.

Two-enclosure port maximums are twice the corresponding enclosure figures. These are independent maximums: adapter types share slots and cannot all reach their maxima together. Confirm optics, cabling, host protocols and software support.

The snapshot ceiling assumes one basic volume; additional volume copies reduce it. Memory, capacity allowances and software release impose further constraints.

The 4666-AH8 uses separately licensed Storage Virtualize software. Verify entitlement rather than assuming the licensing arrangement of the later 4983-AH8 applies.
