IBM 181B 5637 07P6931 07P6932 97P2083 Integrated 2-Port 10Gb SR Virtual Ethernet I/O Ports

The IBM 181B Integrated 2-Port 10Gb SR Virtual Ethernet I/O Ports is a HEA/IVE, has 5637 feature code and 07P6931 07P6932 97P2083 part numbers. The IBM 5637 Virtual Ethernet adapter has integrated I/O connectors for a IBM Power System CEC enclosure and provides two 10 Gigabit, Short Range Ethernet connections (Optical) that can be Virtualized into the IBM Power System LPARs. The system port included with this feature does not function with the required HMC attached. All of the connectors are on the rear bulkhead of the CEC enclosure. The IBM 181B Integrated 2-Port 10Gb SR Virtual Ethernet I/O Ports IVE HEA 5637 provides HEA Integrated I/O Connections. IBM 5636, 5637 and 5639 feature codes may be mixed in multi enclosure systems.

The 1000BASE-SX, 10GBASE-SR (short range), and 10GBASE-LR (long reach) physical interconnects use fiber-optic cabling. 1000BASE-SX and 10GBASE-SR use 50-micron or 62.5-micron multi-mode fiber (MMF) cables, and 10GBASE-LR uses 9-micron single-mode fiber (SMF) cables. The 576A adapter port uses duplex SC connectors, and all other supported fiber-optic ports use duplex LC connectors.
