Hardware End of Life & IBM i 7.4 Release Information
 
  • 7.4 will be released on June 21st, 2019
 
  • 7.4 includes many enhancements towards Security, System Management, Networking, Availability and Application development.
 
  • IBM Hardware Support for POWER7 E4B and E4C will end on September 30th, 2019.
 
As many of you already know, IBM will discontinue the hardware support at the end of September of this year. IBM has stated that they will continue the support after September for one additional year with a hardware service extension.
