IBM TS4300 LTO Tape Library supports SAS and Fibre LTO6, LTO7, LTO8 and LTO9 tape drives, allows up to three Half-High LTO tape drives or one Full-High and one Half-High tape drive, and 40 Ultrium tape media cartridges. The TS4300 IBM LTO Tape Library system has 3555-L3A model number and 00VJ943 part number, provides 18 TB native storage capacity or 48 TB compressed using LTO9 tape media, 12 TB native storage capacity or 30 TB compressed using LTO8 tape media, 6 TB native storage capacity or 15 TB compressed using LTO7 tape media and 2.5 TB native storage capacity or 6.25 TB compressed using LTO6 tape media. The IBM TS4300 LTO Tape Library can be expanded to support 21 Half-High LTO tape drives or 7 Full-High and up to 7 Half-High tape drives using six 3555-E3A TS4300 expansion modules for a maximum of 280 LTO tape media cartridges providing up to 8.4 PB storage capacity compressed or 3.36 PB native using LTO8, 4.2 PB compressed or 1.6 PB native LTO7 and 1.75 PB compressed or 700 TB native LTO6. The TS4300 IBM LTO Tape Library Model 3555-L3A replaced the IBM TS31003573-L2U LTO Tape Library.
