#2818 is a 155Mbps Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) PCI card that allows the iSeries to be attached into an ATM network using the Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) 9 micron interface. This interface is intended primarily for direct connection to service provider equipment but can be used for local area switches. #2818 will typically be used where 155Mbps speeds are required over distances of from 16 to 40km.

Prerequisites: One #2810, #503X Migration Tower I, #5064/#9364, or #5065/#5066 tower with an available high-speed PCI slot and appropriate controller.
