#2718 is a SCSI Tape IOP that provides attachment capability for external Single Ended SCSI tape devices. The #2718 has one port and can attach one tape device or one 7210 CD-ROM Bridge Box.

Prerequisites: When installed in a #503X Migration Tower I, a #2809 or #2824, and one high-speed PCI card slot that has side band signal wiring are required. When installed in a #5065/#5066 tower, a PCI SCSI slot under the #2824 or base IOP is required.

Maximums: One #2718/#2729 in the 503X Migration Tower I, two #2718/#2729 in the #5064/#9364 Expansion Unit, three #2718/#2729 per #5065 tower, and six #2718/#2729 per #5066 tower.
